Abacus Website Access

The children will be given their own username and password to access the Abacus homework area online. Their username will be unique to them. However the password will be generic to Year 3. We will ensure that these details are stuck in their planners for use at home and at school. Further instructions on how to access the website, and how to access the homework area, will be demonstrated in school. The children will have a new piece of Maths homework every fortnight.

2. Reading books can be changed (just sign the Reading Record in planner to show it has been finished)

Homework
Your child has four different types of homework

1. Reading
We expect your child to read each evening and their progress can be recorded in their planner.
2. Spelling
They also have a Spelling Book. One page is to be completed weekly (brought back on the Wednesday for marking)and there will be a quiz each Wednesday as well. They will either have 3, 6 or 9 spellings to learn.
3. Timestables
The children are practising and learning their 2,5 and 10s. These will be added to over the next few months. There will be a quiz every Wednesday to check progress.
4. ABACUS Maths online.
One piece every two weeks.
