AutumnTerm 2nd half

Week ending 21st November:

Well done to all the children for learning their Christmas play words! We have been practising lots and can't wait for the shows on December 10th and 11th.

All children should have received details on costumes last week and information regards tickets will follow next week. There have been some questions regarding the number of tickets each child can request. In the first instance children are allocated 2 tickets ( for their preferred show) and if any spare tickets are availiable these are then offered out on a first come, first seved basis.

Please check learning log as homework has started again this week.

This term our topic is 'Happiness.' We will be looking closely at different things, events and celebrations that make us happy.

Please see the attached newsletter below for important events and details about this half term.

The children have already started to practise for our Christmas play. This week's learning log task is continued practise of words. Well done for those children who have earned pennies this week for a great effort at learning words already!

Information regarding costumes will be sent home next week.

Week ending 3rd October:

We really enjoyed being 'Taste Testers' this week and we have written our own reviews about food from Morrisons, Asda, Tesco and The Co-op.

Next week we are going to be writing acrostic poems about 'Morrisons' as part of the competition we had been set by Maria when we visited. The poems will be sent down to Morrisons and judged. The best poems will be given a suprise in assembly.

In maths we will be moving on to some work on ordering number and place value.

In topic we will be completing our class magazine and we are going to be given a very interesting challenge from Kevin the baker...

Week ending: 26th September:

Next week we will be pretending to be journalists for the 'Best Supermarket' magazine. We will be 'Taste Testers, Editors, Journalists and Photographers!' We will be creating our own magazine in small groups.
