Summer Term B:
On Thursday 27th June we were lucky enough to have a visit from North Wales Police Dog Unit. Take a look at the article below to see the photographs that we took during the visit.
We are looking forward to starting our new topic. Thankyou for all the wonderful artefacts/objects that have been sent in linked to Africa and Spain.
Summer Term A:
A big congratulations to Morgan! Star of the half term for working so hard. It is also close competition at the moment to be the first person to reach 20 stars. I'm sure a few of you will do it next half term!
We have really enjoyed our 'Victorian topic' and will be returning to it next half term when we go on a trip to Greenfield heritage site. ( More information to follow with dates after half term.) Next week we are going to begin to think about our new topic Far, Far away
( focus on Botswana, Spain and Wales.) See this week's learning log task for links with the new topic.
We've had fun in the roleplay this week...
We are becoming more independent working in the class areas and choosing activities linked to the topic. We are using a range of thinking skills strategies to record our ideas.
I have been so impressed with the Victorian shoeboxes! We researched Victorian bedrooms in school and designed our rooms. Then we used our designs to make our shoebox for our learning log task. On Friday we did a 2 star and a wish on our partners shoebox. Look at the gallery at the bottom of the page for more examples.
Week 13th May: Remember your Victorian shoebox's are to be returned on Friday. I'm really impressed with some of the boxes which have been completed so far!
Star of the Week: May 10th: Efa: Well done for always working so hard!
May 3rd: Take a look at some of our Victorian topic photo's. See gallery below!
We used a talking tub with our topic questions. Then we displayed our questions on a board in class.
We also created a 'Wow' word wall to improve our writing. All the words we could think of rather than use 'old.'
22nd April: This week we got a suprise package from the past. We got some letters from Victorian times which we are going to reply too.
8th April
Welcome back after the Easter holidays. It has been great hearing all your holiday news this week. You've certainly all been busy!
Class news: We were really sad to see Emma leave at the end of term but we wish her well in her new school!
A big welcome to Anais and Sophie, our new pupils this term!
Also a big 'Well done' to Iwan, our Star of the term for last term. Awarded for his hard work and great attitude.
Well done also to Cora for being the first person in the class to reach 10 stars.
Thankyou for the sponsor forms we have received back so far. We will be carrying out the sponsored 'nature hunt' at the end of the week.
Next week we will be starting our new topic 'The Victorians.' We will send more information our regarding this topic soon.
Spring Term B:This week we have celebrated World book week and have had some interesting visitors into class.
