Summer Term 1 - The World Around Us
This half term we will be learning about the World around us!
We will start by looking at our locality - around our school and our homes. We will learn about features and the difference between natural features e.g. trees, hills and human features e.g. shops and roads.
We will then go on to look at and learn about our capital city Cardiff through 'Gerry's World'.
Finally we will learn about another country and compare and contrast it to our country. This will be child led and the children will choose what country they want to learn about!
So far we have enjoyed looking at big world maps and asking where different countries are and playing catch with the soft globe and inflatable globe and naming the countries our fingers land on!
