Our timetable

 

Monday: Outdoor PE: Please come to school dressed in PE kit.

Tuesday: Computer lab/I pads.

Wednesday: Bring reading/library and sound books to school in a         clearly labelled book bag. PPA (teachers' planning time) pm

Thursday: Class activities.

Friday:  Bikes and scooters (A.M). Indoor PE (P.M). Please come to school dressed in PE kit.

 

 

 

 

 

 

***Important information ***

 

*  Fruit money is £3.50 this half term.  It is £19 for the year and can be paid at the school office or online.

*  Bookbags need to come to school every Wednesday.  Sound books/reading books and library books will be changed every Wednesday.

*  PE days are Monday and Friday.  Please send your child to school in their PE kit on these days.

Please ensure that your child has a water bottle in class every day.

*  Any money etc should come to school in a clearly labelled envelope.

 

This terms runs from Monday the 4th of June to Friday the 20th of July. Our topic this half term is...

Pirates and the Beach

 

Like all good pirates we are developing our fine motor skills by practising tiying a knot!

Developing our pedaling and scooting skills in the sunshine...

We created our own Tim Pugh inspired art using natural materials....

We are learning about the famous French artist, Claude Monet. We recreated our own ' water lily pond' paintings...

We are learning (cooperative!) sending and receiving skills in our PE sessions...

We are learning about the purposes and uses of money...we had a financial maths weeks...this is what we got up to...!

We visited Bodelwyddan Castle...We went " 'round the mulberry bush', made our way out of the maze, played with Victorian toys, played in the playground and enjoyed a picnic lunch with our friends!

We had a 'Science Day'. Parents who work in scientific fields ame to talk to us about their work. We did a work-out, examined fossils, perfomed keyhole surgery on sugarcubes and tried to solve a crime using finger-print technology!!

We celebrated World Book Day by dressing up, retelling stories in our own words and listening to lively readings of favourite stories...

We made snowy, wintery pictures on our whiteboards...look at our lovely art work!

We are learning about castles. We drew pictures to show our understanding of these historic buildings...

We have been playing with 3D shapes in lots of contexts. Building, investigating, assembling, sorting....

We used recycled materials to create TIM PUGH inspired art...

Kandinsky- inspired 'Squares with Concentric Cirlces' paintings...

We' re looking at 2D shapes and comparing these with 3D shapes...

PE - using balls, beanbags and hoops outdoors...developing our skills and cooperating with others...

Learning how to make new colours by colour mixing...Making green!
