Learning Logs are a way for your child to enhance what they have been learning about in school. Each week a new task will be set for your child to complete at home and this should be returned to school Thursday of each week.
Week 4- Next week we will be looking at saving money.
Week 3 - Over the last few weeks we have been learning about money. We have been looking at different coins and how we can make different values.
Can your child find a variety of ways to make 5p, 10p, 20p and represent this in any way they wish?
(Remember they can't do 3p +2p = 5p because a 3p coin doesn't exist! This was a misconception some of the children had this week!)
If your child can do this easily can they find ways to make 50p and £1 and even £2?
Week 2 - Over the past couple of weeks we have been looking at our new topic 'Supermarkets'. We have visited a supermarket near to us and have made our very own supermarket in class. This week's homework task is to find out how shopping has changed over the years. How is it different now to when your mum and dad or grandma and grandad used to shop? What did shops used to look like compared to now? Were there such things as supermarkets in the olden days? We will be using the information you find to present to the class in groups. Use this page to present your information in any way you like such as a graffiti board or mind map.
Week 1 - decorate your learning log thinking about the theme 'myself'. If possible, could you also cover using sticky back plastic.
