Izzy and the Ice

Class 2ER took part in a drama workshop called Izzy and the Ice.

The children helped act out the story of Izzy, who didn't listen to her friends and did a very silly thing.

All the children acted out the part of Izzy's friends. Some were building snowmen, others clearing the snow, some skiing and the final group built an igloo.

When it was time for Izzy to leave, she decided to do a silly thing and walk across the icy lake. The children talked about the dangers of doing this and even though they advised her not to, she didn't listen.

The final part of the workshop involved a discussion on how to help someone who has got into difficulty in icy water.

The children all had fun and learnt an important message at the same time.
