Christmas term topic : Glow and glitter

Our theme for this half term is based on ‘Glow and glitter’. This project has a Knowledge and Understanding of the World focus and enables children to explore things that sparkle, glitter, glow, reflect, shine and twinkle. Please would you allow your child to bring in an item from home that shines, sparkles, reflects, glows, lights up to show to others (clearly labelled with your child’s name).

Diwali celebrations: We looked at the traditions of the Diwali celebration.
We made rangoli patterns and diya lamps.

Hanukkah celebrations: We looked at the traditions of the Hanukkah celebration.
We made menorah lights and dreidels.
