Additional Literacy and Numeracy Tasks
These tasks should only be completed if you have completed the weekly tasks to the absolute best of your ability and as you would usually do in school. You will see that some of the additional tasks are more challenging than others. Choose the one that you think you will be able to complete. There will be marking sheets for most of these tasks so that you can mark them yourselves at home. The tasks will be updated for you every two weeks.
This term, we would be studying the book Wonder by R.J. Palacio. Therefore, if you are stuck for something to read why not give it a go, I know some of you may have already read it! It covers topics about kindness and starting a new school.
Hi everyone! Mr Edwards and Miss Gash here! We hope you are all well and that you are enjoying your time at home with your families. Just a quick message to let you know that home learning will begin on 6th April so there is no need for you to complete any of the activities already set until then. Please make sure that you keep up with your reading and times tables though. There is also a Home Learning part of the website that you can find under Children and then it's right at the bottom. There are lots of fun activities for you to look at here including the Lego challenge, Welsh phrases of the week and Health and Wellbeing activities.
Miss Gash and I will begin to post work into Active Learn and Hwb from 6th April so make sure you keep a look out for that. Remember, if you complete anything independently, be sure to share it with us on Hwb so that we can see it.
Our email addresses for sharing activities are:
See you all very soon!
Welcome to Year 6 GG for 2019-20. We shall endeavour to use this website as a communication conduit for our parents and pupils during these difficult times.
According to the education minister for Wales, we are closing on March 20th for the Easter holidays. We will soon be posting up work here and on our Google Classroom page for the children to so over the coming weeks.

DANGERPOINT trip review
Following last term's trip, the people at Dangerpoint have asked us to share a link to a questionnaire. They state...
It’s been several weeks since your year 6 pupils visited DangerPoint & we were wondering whether you would be able to help us share a questionnaire link to the parents of the children that visited?
The questionnaire has been designed to establish whether there have been any changes to the child’s behaviours relating to safety following their visit.
