Welcome back to the Spring Term!
Each week!
Mondays
- P.E. kit please. Can long hair be tied back, no jewelry and trainers on this day. The children can wear warm hats (with no dangling bits) and gloves with fingers in them (not mittens) as can get quite nippy in the winter up here!
Changing reading books
- Books can be changed twice weekly on a Monday and Thursday.
We cannot change them more often due to having to quarantine books before re-issuing them.
Important dates
Monday 2ndNovember –School opens to all
Friday 13th November –Children in Need
The week beginning 9th November is Children in Need week. We will be marking this with ‘Five to Thrive’ which follows the same themes as ‘Five ways to Wellbeing’ that we run in school. Those themes are connect, take notice, get active, be curious and give.
On Friday 13thNovember we would also like to hold a Joke-a-thon. Everyone knows at least one good joke! Children can prepare a joke with their family and donate 50p to tell their best joke to the class!
Friday 20thNovember –Tempest Photography
Friday 18thDecember –School closes for Christmas
SCHOOL DINNER MONEY
Both Infant and Junior dinner money is £2.70 per day which equates to 35daysx £2.70 = £94.50for the half term which is payable through SCOPAY please.
Spellings
In the coming first weeks of school, we will be starting our weekly spelling tests. Usually, the children would stick their new spellings into their planner each week, but due to the current restrictions, the children will not be able to bring planners to and from school.
In this first half term we are going to upload the new spellings for each Monday, here on the class page. These will be introduced to the children in the same way as we have always done in class, and they will be tested the following Monday.
Little things to remember:
Below are some things to keep in mind on our return to school, and your child's introduction to Year 3. We will give you more information in the following weeks.
