We are looking forward to the coming school year with lots of fun learning opportunities.  We have high expectations and encourage the children to challenge themselves in the tasks they complete.  Currently, we are asking that children do not bring in any items from home other than specified items.  We appreciate your understanding on this matter.

Autumn Term Topic - Globetrotters

Reading books can be changed on Mondays and Thursdays if reading records have been signed and books completed. We would like to ask that all books and reading records are returned on a Thursday each week whether completed or not so that reading can take place in class, so each learner can be listened to and books changed if completed in school.

P.E. will take place on Wednesday and Thursday afternoons of alternate weeks for indoor and outdoor sessions Children will be asked to come to school wearing their P.E. kit on both these days.  Please could they wear a blue or white polo shirt, black or navy joggers/leggings, blue sweatshirt and trainers.  Thank you.

Please send filled water bottles to school daily. Unfortunately, we do not have access to drinking water in the mobile. If your child is bringing a packed lunch, please also send in a drink for lunch time.  It is helpful if bottles can be labelled or named with marker as quite often there are duplicate designs. Many thanks.

Spellings will be allocated on a Friday via Seesaw for a test the following Friday.  Further information about spellings can be found in the activity section on Seesaw.  If you have any queries, please do not hesitate to ask a question via Seesaw.

Abacus login details have been sent home. We will allocate learning activities where there is relevance to the concepts we are covering in class. Please check weekly to see if there have been any new additions.

Hwb login details have been sent home. All children in Wales have an account that allows them access to many different educational tools that can be used at home and school.  Please ask your child to show you what they have been doing in school! All the creations completed in school can be viewed at home using Hwb login information.

Each child also has a Times Table Rockstars account.  Log in details have been sent home.  This online learning platform is enjoyed by most learners and helps them gain confidence with multiplication through repetition and speed. We try to complete this regularly in school but home practise is very beneficial too.  There is an app that can be downloaded for tablets and devices in the relevant stores. If you have questions, please ask.
