Welcome to Year 2!

We are currently very busy practising for the Year 2 Christmas play. This year the play is called 'Scrooge at School.' Well done to all the children for practising their lines at home. Please also remember to practise when the lines come in ( which lines come before.)

Dates for the school play are: Wednesday 7th 6.00pm and Thursday 8th December 2.00pm.

Don't forget to get your ticket request forms in as we will be sending home tickets this week.

Autumn Term 2nd half:

This term our topic is Happiness. We will be looking at events, activities and celebrations that make us happy.

We will be creating invitations, planning a jelly investigation and obviously be practising very hard for our school play.

Week beginning 21st November:

Please ensure ticket requests are in for Thursday 24th as we will be sending home tickets on Friday.

Once tickets have been allocated then any additional extra requests can be allocated.

This week we have been looking at Less than and greater than in Maths ( Mrs Robert's group)

There are a range of reading scheme books that you can access online as e books.

Class user name is Class2er and log in is PYB2.

You need to go to class log in rather than just log in.

If you are having problems the site is free to access and you could always create your own log in using your email and create a password of your own.

PE kits- Thursdays

Learning logs- Thursdays

Week beginning 19th October:

This week we have been busy working in our new maths groups and starting our RWI groups.

We have been working on number bonds to 10 and 20 and working on place value.

Week beginning 26th September:

This week we will be taste testing some items of food from different supermarkets. We will then be writing our own reviews of the best supermarkets based on this.

POP IN DATE: Tuesday 4th October- 3.20-3.45 

Week beginning 12th September:

This week we will be:

* Beginning our work on money in maths 

* Creating 'Supermarket posters' in language.

* Writing our 'Weekend' news using 'Connecting words.

*Creating a wish list for the class shop in Welsh.

* REMEMBER TO WORK HARD TO COLLECT PENNIES FOR CLASS SHOP AND MILKSHAKE FRIDAY...

 We will be taking orders every Friday!
