Hello Everyone! Miss Mustari and Miss McKibbin here!
Well what a year it has been we will never forgot our 2020 classes!
We feel so sad that we were not able to have all the children in class for the whole year but we thank you so much for all your efforts with the home learning and for all your support!
We will not be setting any extra activities next week but feel free to catch up on any activities!
Please send your children’s wellbeing videos in by Monday, we will be putting them all together on Tuesday. It can just be quick video of them smiling and waving…we can film them in school if you prefer just let us know.

Summer Term 2 Blended Learning Week 6
Hello Everyone! Miss McKibbin and Miss Mustari here! We have completed our first week of blended learning! We have thoroughly enjoyed seeing so many of our children back in our class and we have had a lovely week! We are missing all the children staying at home too and are trying to keep connected as much as we can.
This week we have talked about happiness and it has been lovely to hear what makes you all happy. We have also been sharing our memories from lockdown, it looks like you have all been having lots of fun and have lots of memories to treasure.
We have loved reading all your exciting carnival stories and seeing you use your imagination to draw animals at the carnival.

This week we start blended learning as children come back to school. All tasks will be set on Monday as normal.
The Literacy, Numeracy and Wellbeing tasks do not need to be started until your child has had their day in school. You will see these tasks on the second page of the overview.
We will be doing practical activities and discussing these tasks when your child is in school.
You have a week to complete these tasks from the day you are in school. So if you are in on Friday you have until the following Friday to complete those 3 tasks (Literacy, Numeracy & Wellbeing).
If you are not returning to school, you can start all tasks from Monday as normal.

Week 2 Home Learning Overview
Llandudno Museum – Living History Project
DeAnn Bell, Community and Education Officer at Llandudno Museum, has been in touch with the school to see if we would like to be part of a project. The Llandudno Museum is planning an exhibition next year on Living History: Lockdown.
She would like to collect and record child experiences, ages 3-17, of Lockdown in any creative form (posters, creative writing, sculptures, collage, ect). These works will be put on display in the Llandudno Museum in 2021 for the 1 year anniversary of the Lockdown.
DeAnn has said that she will come and collect some work from school in the future. If you keep it safe and hand it into school when you are next in. The Conwy Fusion Project have provided a booklet of activities for younger students. This can be downloaded below.

VE Day - 8th May 2020
Today is VE Day, Victory in Europe Day. It is the 75th anniversary of VE Day. This is an important date in history as it marks the end of World War II in Europe. 8th May 1945, Prime Minister Winston Churchill made an announcement on the radio at 3pm that the war in Europe had come to an end. Remember to use capital letters and full stops in your writing!

Just a quick message to let you know that home learning will begin on 6th April. Until then please make sure that you keep up with your reading. There is also a Home Learning part of the website that you can find under Children and then it's right at the bottom. There are lots of fun activities for you to look at here including the Lego challenge, Welsh phrases of the week and Health and Wellbeing activities.

The children had a fantastic time at the Year 1 Ball. Thank you for your help and support with costumes and for all the yummy food.

Fiesta Nacional de España
As part of international schools each year group learns about a different country.
Year 1 have been learning about Spain and celebrating Fiesta Nacional de España. We had lots of fun and the children looked fantastic in their Spanish themed clothes.
We tasted some Spanish tortilla, olives and chorizo. We painted the Spanish flag and enjoyed learning some Spanish phrases.
Talking Table
We have a talking table in our class for children to bring things in that interest them and to tell the class all about them. This helps to develop the children's oracy skills and also helps with child led planning. A different group gets to show their objects at the end of each day, the timetable can be seen below. The children do not have to bring something in, they can talk about something they are interested in or something that they have done.
