Information for this half term:


Topic - Being Me In My World

 

Author - Jill Murphy

 

PE Days - Monday and Friday Children come to school in their PE kits.

 

Books will be changed on a Monday and Thursday.

 

What your child needs…

Your child only needs to bring in a water bottle, piece of fruit for their snack and lunch box if they are having sandwiches.

 

Books only need to be brought to school on a Monday and Thursday in a carrier bag. Keep reading records at home and take a photo and upload it to Seesaw when you have read with your child.

 

Could we please ask that children do not bring anything else to school if possible!

 

Labelling

Please ensure all items of clothing, coats, lunch boxes and water bottles are clearly labelled with your child’s name.

 

Topic

This half term our topic is

‘Being Me In My World.

We will be

learning about who is in our family, talking about

ourselves and learning about ourselves and learning about our senses.

 

Jigsaw

Jigsaw is a whole school

approach to PSHE.  Every lesson has 2 learning

intentions:

1 Health and Well-being knowledge.

2 Emotional literacy and social skills.

 

Seesaw

We will continue to use Seesaw for reading records and spellings. If your child needs to access home learning we will be sending activities to you. Please remember to return your consent forms to allow us to share what we have been doing in class with you.

 

Reading

Please read with your child every day and remember to comment and sign the reading record and upload a photo to Seesaw. We find these comments really useful!

 

Spellings

We will be sending spellings home over Seesaw. We have sent a Spelling book home and these will work in the same way as the reading records. These will stay at home & once your child has practised their spellings you can upload a photo on Seesaw. We will be having a weekly spelling test in class on Friday.
